How many years have you been with your organization? 3.5 years

What’s your favorite part of your job? Getting to work with small businesses in the area and finding ways to help them achieve their financial goals.  Growing up, my family owned a small business, so I take great pride in helping businesses no matter their size.

What is your favorite part of being an ambassador? Attending ribbon cuttings and seeing firsthand the great business people in the region.

How has Alliance membership benefitted your business? Membership in the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance has given me the ability to get out and make connections in the region. As someone who has only been in the area for a short time, it has helped me learn and engage the business community.

What is your single best piece of advice to new members, so they can take full advantage of their membership? Take advantage of the different events. You never know if you might meet a person who can help take your business to the next level. Build your client base, build your business.

Do you have any advice for someone who is considering becoming an Alliance member? While there is a cost to becoming a member, look at all the benefits and business development opportunities that come with membership. It will be worth the investment. It can open a door to help make connections and have access to great resources. Membership is an extension of your business brand and image.

Do you have a memorable experience while serving as an ambassador? Meeting people, hearing about their business journey.

What is one thing that others wouldn’t necessarily know? I have lived in another country.

What could you give a presentation on or talk about for hours without any preparation? The history of college football and specifics of Clemson football.

How else are you involved in the community? I am a member of the Rotary Club of Lynchburg-Morning. As well as serving on the board of the Bower Center of the Arts and the leadership council for the Young Professionals of Central Virginia.

When I’m not at work I like to: I am an avid traveler. When it’s warm, I like to spend time outdoors walking/running.  Also, I am a big music fan and avid concert goer.

What’s your favorite/go to lunch spot and what’s your choice of lunch there? I love to eat at Alliance member Downtown Cairo and get their Shawarma Salad.

What is your favorite item you’ve purchased this year? Moka Pot, absolute game changer

What are you reading or listening to right now? I am reading The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.  I am listening to Split Zone Duo, The Moth.

Favorite vacay spot and why? The Outer Banks of North Carolina!

What’s a fun thing you like to do in our region? Spending time downtown at the Farmer’s Market or going to a coffee shop.
