What is you favorite part of your job? I love connecting leaders and empowering them to align their mission with their movement, to achieve their audacious goals!
What is your favorite part of being an Ambassador? Building deeper relationships with our members, and ensuring that they are engaging with their membership benefits.
How has Alliance membership benefitted your business? The Alliance provides tremendous exposure and connecting opportunities for my business.
What is your single best piece of advice to new members, so they can take full advantage of their membership? Show up at as many exposure opportunities as possible. Go beyond your annual membership fees.
Do you have any advice for someone who is considering becoming an Alliance member? Check out the Alliance calendar of events and attend three events to experience the community.
Do you have a memorable experience while serving as an Ambassador? My most memorable experience as an Ambassador was when I transitioned into a solo-preneur, business owner, and I received an overwhelming support from my fellow Ambassadors and Alliance staff.
What is your favorite quote to live by? "As leaders we are either driving progress or driving the problem."
What is one thing that others wouldn’t necessarily know? I am an open book.
What could you give a presentation on or talk about for hours without any preparation? Relational leadership.
How else are you involved in the community? C2C Collaborative, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and Heritage Baptist Church.
When I'm not at work I like to? Travel and experience the unique aspects of other communities.
What's your favorite lunch spot? Mission BBQ and Iron & Ale.
What are you reading or listening to right now? 100x Leader and Leadership Not By The Book.
Favorite vacay spot? St. Kitts in the Carribean - beautiful beaches with turquoise waters and where my family is from.
What's a fun thing you like to do in the Lynchburg Region? Visiting all the farmer's markets and local vendors.
